MUSIC SERIES AT THE ROCC STRIKES A CHORD
Next round of monthly performances planned through November
ROCKPORT, Texas (Aug. 5, 2024) — From classical piano to traditional country, the Music Series at The ROCC continues, featuring a variety of artists and musical genres. With the next round of performances scheduled from August through November at The Rockport Conference Center’s Randall Ewing Kemper Hall, the once-monthly shows provide an intimate musical experience for guests.
“Our Music Series at The ROCC has been a real hit with guests from throughout the Coastal Bend and beyond,” said Darryl Meadows, venue manager for The ROCC. “We enjoy bringing a variety of quality music to Rockport and look forward to continuing the popular program.”
AUGUST 23 — Alejandro Vela
Julliard-trained and internationally acclaimed concert pianist who performs solo in recitals and with well-known orchestras around the world.
SEPTEMEBR 6 — Tish Hinojosa
This popular singer-songwriter has released 16 albums between 1987 and 2024 in English and Spanish in a variety of musical genres such as folk, country, pop and Latino.
OCTOBER 11 — American Dreamer
Four gifted musicians who bring a heavy dose of strings to their unique blend of Indie-Folk transformed through bold string arrangements (violin, cello, bass) and resplendent three-part harmony.
NOVEMBER 15 — Malpass Brothers
Best known as modern-day troubadours who carry the torch for traditional country music, the brothers began their musical journey at an early age, working alongside and amongst the legends, including Merle Haggard who produced their debut album.
Tickets are $30 General Admission and $60 VIP Seating, with the exception of the Malpass Brothers, which are $40 and $75, and may be purchased online through the RCA website. The new 1.2-acre Rockport Center for the Arts, the Coastal Bend’s first multidisciplinary arts organization, is located a block away from Aransas Bay in the heart of the Rockport Cultural Arts District.
