MEMBERS' GALLERY POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

1. RCA Members in good standing will be allowed to submit one, original piece of art for the Members’ Exhibition.

2. Work must be original, no giclee prints or reproductions (exceptions for photography medium). More than 80% of the work should be made or altered significantly by hand.

3. You can go bigger! The art can have a cumulative perimeter up to 100 inches or less including frame. For 3D work, the footprint of the work must fit inside a 12 x 12 square.

4. 2D artwork must have proper hanging hardware attached and be ready to hang with either a wire (preferred), teeth, or d-rings on the back.

5. Work should be more fine art over craft. The Mendez Family Gallery will showcase decorative, fine art (like paintings, photos, sculptures), and the John & Mary Willrodt Gift Shop will feature functional art and crafts (fiber, jewelry, bowls, etc.)

6. Work cannot have a value greater than $2,500. 

7. All submitted artwork must align with the theme of exhibition. To the best of your ability, please submit artwork that is fitting with the theme of exhibition. If the theme is a style or medium you don’t usually work with, we encourage you to try something new!

8. All submitted artwork must not have previously been shown in the Mendez Gallery. Artwork that has been on display in a past Members’ Exhibition will not be hung.

9. Artwork not complying with the above guidelines will not be displayed.
