In this workshop, we will lead you step by step through a book making technique that will allow you to create a handmade journal using different types of paper you may have lying around; this will include, card board, junk mail, vintage papers, old magazines, watercolor paper and art paper. We call this a “Art Junk Journal”.

In this three-day pastel workshop, students will learn to create vibrant works of art using Rita Kirkman’s signature layered pastel technique.

This weekend workshop can answer some of your toughest questions on color! This is an intensive study of light and color! We will primarily work at the “edges of the day”, during the golden hours at sunrise and sunset.

Come join us as we create an expressive mixed media work of art in this one-day class. We will guide you in creating an 11 X 14 Mixed Media art piece that can be made into Art Trading Cards to share with the other artists in the class.
