Exploring the Impressionists | A Duplication with Andrew Trosmans

In this course, we will explore the techniques of various Impressionists, to see and recreate their use of paint (color, quality and texture). Duplicating a Master’s painting is an excellent way to broaden and add to our own technique. During the second half of the class we will create an original art piece using techniques learned during the first half. This will be a constructive, laid-back class with great music and good fun! This course is suitable for beginners, intermediate and advanced painters.
Students will choose a relatively simple landscape to duplicate from one of the following artists:
Van Gogh
Hopper
Monet
Mary Cassatt
Camille Pissaro
I encourage you to look through each of these artists’ work and choose 2 or 3 that you’d like to duplicate (I will help you to decide on one).

Cancellation Policy:
In order to receive a refund, cancellation notice must be given at least 2 weeks, August 30th at 5:00 pm, prior to the start of the workshop. If given the required 2 weeks notice you will receive a refund of your tuition minus a cancellation fee of $25.00. Cancellations made within 2 weeks of the start of the workshop will result in a full forfeiture.
